Your typing stays in this page
Typed text, practice scores, composition drafts and timer state are processed in browser memory. They are not stored in localStorage or sessionStorage, uploaded, attached to URLs or sent to a payment provider. Leaving or reloading clears the current test. Result copying is optional and uses your device's clipboard.
Analytics and settings
Usage analytics may run only under typing.unboundcove.com; QA visits send none. The analytics contract allows only fixed page paths, a fixed source category and basic actions such as test start, completion, cancellation or result copy, with a fixed duration of 30 or 60 seconds. It excludes typed text, scores, accuracy, keystroke traces, query strings, hashes and raw referrers.
The optional analytics preference uses localStorage; QA uses a sessionStorage marker. An eligible cloud visit retains a fixed source category and the start of its 30-minute source window. Local, QA, unknown-host, DNT, opted-out and storage-failure visits fail closed. QA links retain qa=1 across pages and the listed related tools. Hosting logs are separate from browser analytics; counts are not verified people.
Feedback you choose to send
Ordinary feedback uses the official service and database. QA feedback uses only the separate test service and database. No typing, score or reference passage is automatically attached. Do not include private information in your message.
Cloudflare Turnstile verifies feedback before the service accepts it. Its script loads only after you open the form. Verification or service failure does not prevent using the typing test.
The feedback retention policy is 90 days for ordinary production feedback and 7 days for separate QA test feedback.
Voluntary support
Buy me a coffee is an optional one-time tip. PayPal loads only after you open the support dialog and handles payment under its own terms. Your typed text and scores are never attached. The existing author button is shared with InvisiChar and may display Support InvisiChar. Taking a test remains free.
